Intensive Scene Study Masterclass
with Brett Archer
DURATION: 8 weeks (6 weeks intensive scene study + 2 weeks filming)
WHEN: Wednesday nights
Time:, 6:30pm – 9:30pm
Cost :$480
Location: 2 Little KING WILLIAM street, KENT TOWN
IMPORTANT:
Spots are strictly limited to ensure every actor receives the attention and feedback they need.
This is your opportunity to work closely with a seasoned professional, refine your craft, and walk away with material that shows what you’re truly capable of.
This isn’t your average acting class.
It’s a focused, 8-week intensive masterclass designed for actors who are ready to work at a professional standard and push their craft to the next level.
For the first 6 weeks, you’ll dive deep into a scene and monologue from world-class plays, carefully selected by Brett. You will be paired with a scene partner and will work on your given material for the duration of the term.
Because of the nature of this class, full commitment is essential. Each actor relies on their partner, so consistent attendance is expected to ensure both of you get the most out of the work.
Guided by the methodologies of Howard Fine and Uta Hagen, you’ll learn how to:
-
Unpack text and understand what’s truly driving the scene
-
Build emotional preparation that feels alive, not mechanical
-
Bring your authentic self to foreign circumstances
-
Develop the stamina to stay truthful, connected, and present under pressure
The final 2 weeks shift the focus to on-camera performance. You’ll film your scene in a cinematic, showreel style, walking away with professionally shot footage you can use to showcase your work.
This class is capped to ensure individual attention and a focused, supportive environment.
Perfect for actors with a passion for acting and a desire to build real, lasting skills.
